Reckless cops just opened fire in a crowded trailer park and murdered a six-year-old child

Trigger-happy law enforcement agents have needlessly killed yet another child of color in their carelessness.

Six-year-old Kameron Prescott was in his mobile home in Bexar County, Texas, with his family, minding his own business when a police bullet tore through the thin walls and killed him while his horrified parents watched.

The police were in pursuit of a woman, a wanted felon who was suspected of being involved in a car theft. She had been attempting to seek shelter in different trailers from the police and was eventually gunned down, even though stealing cars does not carry the death penalty.Related image

The police are now saying that the woman “showed a gun” and was “reaching for her waistband” earlier during the chase but was found to be unarmed after they murdered her too.

The San Antonio Express-News reports that it is “not known” whatprompted five deputies to open fire with four pistols and one rifle on an unarmed woman in a trailer park obviously full of innocent bystanders.

According to the Washington Post, Prescott is the 958th person to be murdered by police officers this year – or the 1152nd, according to

The police force refused to say whether or not official policy allows officers to use force if a family home is in the line of fire – which means yes, it does.

The excesses of American law enforcement take a horrifying toll on the American people. The militarization of our police forces combined with the reckless proliferation of firearms among an irresponsible civilian populace has led to those who have ostensibly sworn to “protect and serve” to behave like an occupying army, spreading violence and death instead of keeping the peace.

It remains to be seen if there will be any consequences for the officers who decided to start spraying bullets in a residential area and murdering a child, but seeing as a police officer was just acquitted of murdering a man who was on his knees and begging for mercy, we wouldn’t hold our breath.
